TASIS Celebrates International Jazz Day

In celebration of International Jazz Day on Sunday, April 30, the TASIS Performing Arts program offered a day of workshops, ensemble and solo music performances, beat poetry, dance combinations, and more, representing jazz throughout the decades—from traditional standards through to contemporary jazz-rock. After a New Orleans jazz-inspired brunch, participants had the opportunity to learn how to play the blues, jam with a band, write their own poetry, examine bluesy student art, learn a Broadway-style dance combo, or just relax and enjoy the atmosphere in a creatively designed jazz lounge.

Watch the musical performances in the video above, and please enjoy a gallery of photos from the day.
