Vivaldi's Four Seasons - Palmer Cultural Center - Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 8 PM
The Alpenkammerorchester conducted by Igor Longato will be performing Vivaldi's Four Seasons in the Palmer Cultural Center at 20:30 on Thursday, November 29. Violinist, Lisa Rieder, who was very well received last month at TASIS for a short recital during the All School Assembly, will be the soloist.
The Alpen Kammerorchester is a recently formed chamber orchestra whose carefully selected musicians are native to, or live in, the Alpine regions of Switzerland, France, Germany, Austria, Slovenia and Hungary. Among these musicians are also professionals from Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Hungary, Albania, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Russia, and Armenia, all of whom currently reside in the Alpine regions.
The main goal of this orchestra is to give young musicians the opportunity to work and perform with professionals who act as their coaches, and then be able to achieve a position with important, traditional, and established orchestras. In Vivaldi's Four Seasons concert the professional musicians alternate playing the solo parts. They are members of renowned orchestras, such as the Orchestra Toscanini of Parma, the Orchestra Verdi of Milan, the London Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra of Italian Switzerland, the Filarmonica della Scala di Milano, and the Orchestra del Teatro Regio of Torino just to mention a few.
