Celebrate the Arts with TASIS from May 18–21
Posted 05/17/2017 03:00PM

The 43rd annual TASIS Arts Festival will begin with an Opening Celebration in the Palestra at 10:00 on Thursday, May 18, and conclude Sunday, May 21, with outdoor workshops led by guest artists on the afternoon and an all-school concert at 19:00. The time in between will be packed with concerts, theatrical performances, art exhibitions, workshops, and more. See the full schedule of events below.

The Spring Arts Festival was founded by Horst Dürrschmidt and Fernando Gonzales in 1974 and was scheduled to occur a week before the end of the school year because it was considered a final assessment for students in visual arts, theater, and music. It has become an annual event in which beauty in all forms is celebrated and emphasized.

The Arts Festival is a time when students and teachers can demonstrate their talents. It also provides a unique opportunity for students to be exposed to all forms of art and to be stimulated by each others’ accomplishments and by the talent of visiting professional musicians and artists.

The general public is very much encouraged to attend this celebration of the arts. For those interested in learning more about TASIS, guided tours and information sessions with School administrators are also available upon request. Please contact the Admissions Office at admissions@tasis.ch or +41 91 960 5151 to schedule an appointment.
