Class of 2007: 10th Anniversary Reunion | Lugano
Posted 07/10/2017 09:02AM

TASIS welcomed the Class of 2007 back to Lugano on June 9 to celebrate its 10-year anniversary. Class agent Denise Chiang did a wonderful job coordinating the reunion and making all of the arrangements, even providing guests a custom tote bag with a special TASIS crest featuring chicken and potatoes, a plane, prosecco, and a breathalyzer! Each bag was filled with TASIS nostalgia goodies, including Farmer Croc cereal, NutellaHaribo gummies, and more.

Thirty-two alumni came back to join in the fun. Many came from the US, and two even bumped into each other at the DFW airport on their way! Others came from Mexico or gravitated in from different parts of Europe (Germany, Spain, Bulgaria, Italy, Turkey, and Kosovo).

After settling into the dorm, the first official get-together was dinner Friday evening at the Principe Leopoldo. Saturday's lineup of events included a boat ride around the lake with an on-board aperitivo. In the afternoon, the group returned to TASIS for a campus tour and was very impressed with the new facilities
especially the Campo Science Center. A delightful dinner in Casa Fleming that evening offered more opportunities to reminisce TASIS-style. Late-night dancing in Lugano was followed by socializing in the dorms that went on until the wee hours. One alumnus, Nick Ragazzi, woke up early to see the sunrise, which he proclaimed was absolutely beautiful. Sunday brunch sparked more stories and exchanges. The reunion finished far too soon for many, and some have already said they'd like to have a reunion every year!
