The Class of 1992 returned to TASIS for its 25th anniversary reunion over the weekend of June 30–July 2, joining forces with many friends from the Classes of 1991–1996. The Harley Davidson Convention coincided with the reunion weekend, making for a vibrant town center and a scramble for hotel rooms. But the alumni—who had traveled in from Japan, South Korea, India, Dubai, the US, and various parts of Europe—managed to find alternative housing options in the area.
The weekend started with a lively dinner in Lugano on Friday evening with 40 people in attendance, including TASIS Director of Institutional Advancement Bill Eichner. Fifty-six people gathered on Saturday for a long and leisurely tour of their old dorm rooms and the campus's newest buildings before transitioning into aperitifs and dinner in the Casa Fleming garden. As with each reunion in June this year, the weather played its part and everyone was able to fully enjoy the splendor of a TASIS dinner "al fresco." Drinks and dancing at the lakefront Seven Lugano lounge completed the perfect evening.
Ed Keller '93 is already talking about getting the ball rolling for his class's own reunion next year, which will likely continue with the multi-class model that worked so well with this group. A big thank you is due to Miki Schroder Nava '92, who did such a tremendous job organizing every detail for this reunion. Brava, Miki!
Attendees later mentioned a variety of favorite memories of the reunion, including the sense of coming home to campus (Jeremy Moncho '95), the size of the turnout and the multitude of bonding activities (Samira Salman '92), and the Mrs. Fleming cookies (Monique Ruyle '92)!
