Petey Peach Tree performed June 1–2, 2017

The TASIS Elementary School Theater Program performed the musical Petey Peach Tree in front of packed houses in the Palmer Center on the evenings of June 1–2. Both outstanding performances were filmed and can be viewed below.

The action takes place on a peach farm, where a good-natured family of farmers treat all their trees with endless love and careful attention. When a group of evil bankers threatens to evict the family from their home, a heartwarming tale about the power of family, kindness, and friendship ensues.

Written by Andrew Leonard, Petey Peach Tree premiered at the TASIS Summer Programs in 2014. Matthew Frazier-Smith directed this year’s show, Julie Frazier-Smith served as Assistant Director and Choreographer, and Melody Tibbits Zanecchia was the Accompanist. Based on a story by Gary Leonard, Andrew Leonard wrote the book, music, and lyrics, with additional lyrics written by Kaela Flanagan.
