Information about the PSAT on October 16

All students in grades 9–11 will take the PSAT at 8:00 on Wednesday, October 16. (Please note that 12th-grade and Postgraduate students will participate in a college/university application workshop instead of taking the PSAT.) In addition to giving students experience with a test many of them will take in the near future (the SAT), the PSAT helps students confirm that they are on track for university-level academics. Scores can also be used for class placement and AP readiness assessment.

Students will receive an email 2–3 days before the test explaining the specific location they should report to. Please remind your children to bring the following things on test day: two No. 2 or HB pencils, a calculator, their TASIS ID, and their very best attitude and effort!

Here are some additional resources students and parents may find helpful:

Save the Date: Halloween Brunch on October 20

The TPA will be sponsoring a Halloween Brunch for Middle and High School students on Sunday, October 20, from 10:00–12:45 and is looking for parent volunteers to help decorate Villa De Nobili, bake treats, and serve food. Please contact your TPA division coordinator or send an email to if you would like to help out!

Electronic Devices on Shuttle Buses

We have once again been made aware of some unfortunate behavior with electronic devices on our shuttles buses—including the playing of inappropriate music/video content at loud volumes—and would like to limit the use of these devices on the rides to and from school, which we consider to be an extension of the school day. (Please note that the use of mobile phones and other electronic devices is not permitted at meals or in the classroom.)

We understand that students may occasionally need to send a quick message home, and that kind of behavior remains acceptable. But we no longer want students to use their devices to play music or videos that other students can hear, take photos or videos of other students, or carry out any other form of inappropriate behavior. Our drivers have been instructed to take devices if they spot this kind of behavior.

We thank you for understanding and ask that you please have a quick conversation with your children to help us enforce this message.
